Missing Malerie & Other Stories About Family by Richie O'Connell

Three short stories about loss—the loss of a loved one.  No, not morbid, not morbid at all. These little tales are touching, poignant, a bit sad with a tug at the heartstrings, but they are bursting with emotion, feeling, even hope.

A young wife and mother leaves her husband and small daughter to Christmas on their own; a young child goes missing on a school trip; two friends lose their mothers in a tragic accident. Each family copes in its own way.

The simplicity of the writing is just perfect; anything more couldn’t have made these stories work.

I found myself totally immersed in these shorties and almost reaching for a tissue after each one.
